Marcia Davies is Chief Operating Officer for the Mortgage Bankers Association (MBA).

As COO, Marcia is responsible for ensuring cross organizational alignment and facilitating the implementation of strategic initiatives, as well as maintaining key oversight of projects that are organizational priorities. She is also the lead strategist for MBA’s external activities, providing leadership, guidance and overall management to the public affairs and marketing divisions. In addition, Marcia provides strategic direction and management of MBA’s conferences and operational departments including Information Technology, Education, Office Services and Membership Operations.

Previously, Marcia worked at the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD), as Senior Advisor to the Assistant Secretary for Housing and Federal Housing Commissioner. She directed HUD’s industry relations program to strengthen relationships, garner support, streamline communications and resolve policy and regulatory issues.

Before joining HUD, Marcia spent 21 years at Freddie Mac, where she held a variety of officer positions including Vice President of Strategy, Customer Outreach and Marketing; Vice President of Servicer Relations and Policy; and Vice President of Customer Outreach and Eligibility.

Marcia also provides management oversight to and is a Board member of MBA’s Opens Doors Foundation. In 2015, she was honored by HousingWire as one of its 2015 Women of Influence. Marcia is a graduate of the Katharine Gibbs School in Montclair, N.J.

Ruth Sherman is a well-known consultant, communications expert, commentator, author, and speaker. Known as the “Speech Coach to the Stars,” Ruth works with CEOs, celebrities and public figures looking to have a greater impact on stage, on-camera, and in the media. Five of her clients have won Oscars and one the Pulitzer Prize.

An expert in presidential and political communication, she’s widely quoted in the press including The New York Times, The Washington Post, USA Today, TIME, ABC, CBS, MSNBC, CNBC, and FOX, among many others. Entertainment, HGTV (Home and Garden Television), Channel One News and helped launch Entertainment Tonight China. Angela is also founder of The Zen Mom, an inspirational and informative website for moms. Dr. Tracey Wilen is a prominent thought leader and speaker on the impact of technology on society, work, and careers. A former visiting scholar at Stanford University, she has held leadership positions at Apple, HP, and Cisco Systems. She was an adjunct professor for Bay area colleges teaching classes in business, technology and women’s workforce topics.

Dr. Wilen has authored 11 books, including her most recent book, Employed for Life, 21st. Century Career Trends (2014), Women Lead: Career Perspectives from Workplace Leaders (2013) and Society 3.0: How Technology Is Reshaping Education, Work, and Society (2012).
